Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

Introduction

Responsibility and Sustainability are important to The SCP Group. While running our business to meet stakeholder’s expectations, we also see corporate responsibility as one of the key areas that helps us to manage risks and also to maximise on any opportunities presented to us in our changing world. As an employer, manufacturer, investor and a consumer, we take our corporate responsibility seriously and are committed to understanding, monitoring and managing our environmental, social and economic impact to enable us to contribute to society’s wider goal of sustainable development. The principles encompassed in this policy cover all areas of the Companies operations and have been developed and will continue to be reviewed against and updated by reference to relevant codes of corporate governance and international standards including the United Nations (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises established by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and the UN Convention against Corruption.

We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and within our policies.

The Workplace

The working relationships of our people within the company are the cornerstone of our successful development which enables us to deliver world-class manufacturing and products to ensure this, we are focused on making SCP Group an environment where its people feel supported, can develop their skills, and have a clear understanding of our business objectives. We are committed to ensuring that our entire business is conducted according to rigorous professional, ethical and legal standards. Health and safety

It is the company’s policy to do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent personal injury and to have regard to foreseeable work hazards that may affect employees, customers, visitors and other persons who may be affected by our operations. We strive to provide a safe, clean working environment where employees feel safe in their undertakings.

Risk

SCP Group are most anxious to ensure that employees work in safety and freedom from accidents to fulfil this they will identify specific risks that are present in any processes, materials and systems used by the company, in order to introduce control measures and provide safe systems of work.

The supply Chain

SCP Group actively work with our suppliers who share our values, especially with reference to fair employment, and environmental practices. We value the importance of the supply chain and are committed to developing secure relationships based on mutual trust for the benefit of all concerned.

The Environment

We recognise that in our day to day operations we can impact on the environment in a number of ways and we are committed to reducing the effects of such activities wherever possible. In ensuring we minimise our effects we shall ensure employees, including Associates, are responsible for working in such a manner that protects the environment. We will educate our workforce by providing updated Environmental Awareness training to reduce impact on the environment. Fully integrate environmental management into operating procedures to ensure long/short term environmental issues are considered by giving commitment to continual improvement in all areas of potential environmental impact.

The Community

SCP Group strives to be a good corporate citizen and to fulfil our responsibilities to the societies and communities in which we operate by making a positive impact. We aim to make a distinctive contribution to inequality and social development through the establishment of programmes that

make best use of the energies and skills of our employees. Especially through the provision of training to ensure the continued development of necessary skills and knowledge required within our industry and community. This recognises both the benefit to the community and to the employees themselves.
